The water we drink

Indeed, our bodies are roughly two-thirds water. All the complex metabolic processes in our bodies take place in aqueous solutions. This is why a person can survive only a few days without water.
Everyone knows water is essential. But what kind of water is best to drink? How much do we really need? And how safe is our tap water? These questions concern more people every day.
Under normal conditions, the human body releases 2.5–3 litres of water per day. During intense physical activity or in hot climates, water loss can reach up to 10 litres per day. Scientists recommend a daily intake of 40 ml per kilogram of body weight.
Both in winter and summer, you should consume the same amount of fluid. Otherwise, dry air — outdoors and indoors — will dehydrate your skin and mucous membranes, leading to fatigue, exhaustion, and headaches.
To drink or not to drink — that is the question
To drink, of course! But to know what you're drinking.
Good, clean water is one of the fundamental conditions for good health. All water in our bodies is renewed on average every 16–20 days. That's why it's essential to be confident that you're drinking pure water every day.
And there's reason for concern — Israel's Ministry of Environmental Protection acknowledges that drinking water quality across much of the country is unsatisfactory. The Ministry of Health frequently recommends that residents of certain areas drink only boiled water.
Even when the water authority gives the all-clear, don't forget: between the treatment plant and your glass lie kilometres of aging pipes. Removing harmful contaminants from water is extremely difficult.
Major water contaminants: harmful microorganisms, bacteria and viruses, heavy metal ions (copper, lead, cadmium, mercury, zinc, strontium, and others). They accumulate in the body and can manifest as serious diseases years later.
Demand for purified, mineralized water is growing rapidly. Today, it's not a luxury — it's a necessity.

Reverse osmosis system
Reverse osmosis filters produce the highest quality water purification achievable at home.
Incoming water passes through 3 pre-filtration cartridges before reaching the membrane. During reverse osmosis, water and dissolved substances are separated at the molecular level. On one side of the membrane, virtually pure water accumulates, while all contaminants remain on the other side.
This method provides a significantly higher level of purification than most traditional filtration methods.
The output water has excellent taste qualities and is recognized as the safest by composition. It removes: magnesium, mercury, nitrates, nitrites, strontium, arsenic, cyanides, asbestos, fluorine, lead, sulphates, iron, chlorine, all bacteria and viruses.
5-stage reverse osmosis filter
- First stage — pre-filtration cartridge for removing particles and suspended matter ~15–30 microns in diameter.
- Second stage — granular activated carbon cartridge: removes chlorine, organic substances, and gases; improves taste.
- Third stage — compressed activated carbon cartridge for additional removal of chloro-organic compounds and fine particles down to 1–5 microns.
- Fourth stage — the core element — the reverse osmosis membrane.
- Fifth stage — carbon post-filter (inline granular activated carbon cartridge).
Installation
The filter comes complete with cartridges, membrane, and connection fittings. The filter and storage tank are installed under the sink, and the drinking water faucet is mounted on the sink.
